Hey friend,

The answer is Spleen.

Spleen is a large and important lymphatic organ in our body. It is reddish brown in colour and has the following functions -

1. Produces lymphocytes.

2. Destroys worn out RBC's

3. Acts as a blood reservoir and releases stored blood in emergency and under stress.

4. Forms RBC's in embryo.

Sleep is called graveyard of RBC's -

In a normal adult, 2 to 2.5 million RBC's are destroyed every minute in spleen. In other words, 1% of total RBC's are destroyed in spleen in a day.

Hope it helps!
