Universal Donors: 'O' Blood Group

Universal Donors:

  • O Blood Group of people can donate their blood to people of all the other types of blood groups.

  • Because the group blood does not contain any antigens.

  • Therefore, O group people are called universal donors.

Additional Info:-

  • O group people cannot receive blood from any other group.

  • Because the O group serum contains antibodies a as well as b which can agglutinate the RBC of A, B and AB group of blood.
