The answer is The Peninsular Plateau.

The Peninsular Plateau is the largest physiographic division of India. It covers a total area of nearly 15 lakh sq km. The plateau is divided into two parts – The Central Highlands and The Deccan Plateau. The Central Highlands cover the Northern part of the country while The Deccan Plateau extends to the southern part. The primary composition of the plateau is metamorphic and old crystalline igneous  rocks.
