According to the Lewis concept, acid is the substance that accepts a lone pair of electrons since it has empty orbitals in the valence shell. The phosphorus in PCl5 readily accepts electrons from other molecules. Therefore, it is considered as a Lewis acid.

As the axial bond pairs suffer more repulsive forces from the equatorial bond pairs, therefore the axial bonds are slightly elongated and hence slightly weaker than equatorial bonds. This makes PCl5 very reactive. Hence it is more reactive than PCl3, though the latter is also quite reactive and fumes in air.

Answer:PCl5

Explanation:

PCl5 is better acid than Pcl3 because PCl5 is lewis acid and it react faster than Pcl3
