cacl2 is more covalent than CaF2 because flourine is more electronegative so it tends to be more ionic than to be covalent .

Cacl2 is more covalent than CaF2

Because Flourine has Electronegativity Hence Flourine Tend To be More Ionic Nature than to be Covalent when Bonded With Calcium Atom

While Chlorine some what less Electronegative than Flourine

Also Need to be mentioned That Flourine Is an element with Anonymous behavior Not only Flourine Almost all Starting Elements In a Group Have This Type of anonymous behavior

Fluroine Is quite more reactive than Chlorine Bromine and iodine in the Group ,have Different Bps and Mps.

Hope It Clarifies Your Doubt

Thank you:))
