Which is more fireproof: melamine or bakelite?

Bakelite: It is a thermosetting synthetic plastic with remarkable insulating abilities. 

Melamine: it is a heat resistant organic plastic with synthetic polymers. 


Bakelite can not be melted again

Melamine can be molded again

Therefore Melamine is more fireproof.

Bakelite is best insulator hence used in handles of cooking utensils, switch boards, radio, telephone casings etc. whereas Melamine is heat resistant, it is used in various industrial application. Bakelite: It is a thermosetting synthetic plastic with remarkable insulating abilities.
