CsF is more ionic as compared to LiF.



* The extent of ionic nature of a compound or the ionic percentage depends on the difference in electronegativity between the two atoms bonded in a compound.

* Greater the electronegativity difference, greater is the ionic nature of the compound.

* In this case, Cs is known to be the most electropositive element( larger in size as going down a group, atomic size increases) whereas Fl the most electronegative one, thereby their difference is the highest.

* It is because greater the difference, greater will be the probability of breaking the bond and forming ions.
