Which is more stable and why??
[CoF6]^3- or [CoF6]^2-

[CoF6]^2- is more stable than [CoF6]^3-

Because if we check who is paramagnetic or diamagnetic we can see that [CoF6]^2- is diamagnetic and hence there won't be any unpaired lectrons left in it to be paired. While in [CoF6]^3- its a paramagnetic complex with unpaired electrons in it.

So we know that diamagnetic complex is more stable than paramagnetic

∴ [CoF6]^2- is more STABLE than [CoF6]^3-
