Caps lock isn't a control key. It's a toggle key.
A toggle key's a key that is used to turn a function on or off, or to modify between two functions. Samples of toggle keys are the caps lock key, number lock key and scroll lock key.
- The caps lock key is the most commonly used toggle key , which alternates the letter keys between uppercase and lowercase.
- Another example of a toggle key's the scroll lock key, which allows arrow keys to scroll through window's contents and allows users to scroll without counting on the scroll bar.
- The insert key's another example of a toggle key, and it toggles between overtype mode and insert mode while entering text.
Enter Key , Alt and Shift are control keys.
- In computing, an impact key Ctrl is a modifier key which, when pressed in conjunction with another key, performs a special operation (for example, Ctrl+Z); almost like the Shift key, the command key rarely performs any function when pressed by itself.
- The command key is located on or near the bottom left side of most keyboards ,with many featuring a further one at the bottom right.
A toggle key also can be used as an accessibility option to alternate the input mode of keys while a control key is used with other leys to perform an action.
