Hey
1) Ionic bonds are stronger as they are formed by attraction forces between electrons and protons which makes them hard to break.
2) Since ionic bonds are stronger therefore ionic compounds are much stronger than covalent compounds.
Eg., NaCl which has ionic bond has is very much difficult to break than covalent bond by CH4 molecule
Hope it helps #))

Answer:
- Covalent is stronger because the 2 atoms involve share 2 or more outer shell electrons. Covalent bonds hold all of your biomolecules together. Ionic bonds are formed when a valence outer shell electron is transferred from one atom to another - a much weaker interaction.
