Answer:

A system of classification of organisms based on their assumed evolutionary histories and relationships is called as phylogenetic classification, which is different from the natural system that is based upon morphological and anatomical relationships. When characters of organisms are considered for classification, for example, characters in different organisms that are similar because they were inherited from a common ancestor, that also had that character or when two lineages evolved independently, then they are called as homologous and analogous system respectively.
