The Invisible Man is a story about a brilliant yet greedy scientist named Griffin who discovers that if a person’s refractive index is modified to match exactly that of air and if his body doesn’t absorb or reflect light, then he will become invisible. He successfully carries out this procedure on himself, but cannot become visible again, leading to mental instability. This novel was way ahead of it’s time and was classified into “Horror” genre. The plot is genius and keeps you hooked with it. You just won’t feel like stop swiping screen (or turning pages, if paperback). The Invisible Man is not really a story of what is scientifically possible but rather is a moral romance about the corruption of power.
