Which is the better way to connect lights and other electrical appliances domesticwiring : series circuits or parallel circuits ? Why ?

In parallel because of the following reasons:-
1. In parallel different appliances can get different current as required for different appliances to work properly.
2. Same potential difference is supplied which is not possible in series connection.
3. Also if one appliance stops others will still continue to work on parallel.
