Federal structure of goverment basically means the division of powers between the state and central government.

So federal structure has two parts
1. Central government
2 State government

In this none of the government can interfere in other's work. Central government cannot interfere in state government's affairs. Both the government are independent. Power of decision making rests with both the forms of government. But international affairs of a country are dealed by only Central government.

federal government is a system of dividing up power between a central national government and local state governments that are connected to one another by the national government. Some areas of public life are under the control of the national government, and some areas are under control of the local governments

Satan2002: simple answer is state and central government right?
avantika4: structure is same central and state government
Somin: If we actually state this then it has three parts but we take only two parts in federal structure because most of the power rests with these two governments. Before 1992 local government didn't have much of power and practically it can be observed even today
avantika4: yes
