Anamudi is the highest peak of South India. The total height of the peak is nearly 2,695 metres (8,842 ft). it is the highest point in South India so that it is also called ‘Everest of South India’.

One of the three ultra- prominent peaks in South India. This peak is the highest point in Periyar river basin. The north and south slopes of the peaks are gentle while the west and east has different rocks in between.
