Which is the least number must be added to 526 to get a perfect square

Square root of 526 lies between 22^2 & 23^2..

√22<526<√23

22^2=484

23^2=529

Hence, 529-526=3

526+3=529

√529=23

Therefore, 3 is the least number which must be added to 526 to get a perfect square.
