What is a clause ?
A clause is a group of words that contains a subject and it owns predicate.
OR
A clause contains main clause , dependent clause and conjunctions.
The two types of clauses are :-
- Independent clause (Main clause)
- Dependent clause (Sub-ordinate clause)
Conjunctions are the words which join two words ot two sentences.
The word which joins two words/sentences in a clause is known as Co-ordinating conjunctions.
Some examples :-
- I like to play football and cricket.
==> And = Co-ordinating clause

==> And cricket = Sub-ordinate clause
- The weather was cold , yet bright and sunny.
==> Yet = Co-ordinating clause.
