India Doesn't Have any National Sports.
And
HOCKEY IS NOT OUR NATIONAL SPORTS
In 2012, In the reply of an RTI, Government of India have clarified that India does not have a National Sports.
Yes, it is true that India won 6 consecutive gold medals in Hockey at Olympics.
Even in NCERTs, it is written that Hockey is the national game of India.
But Union ministry of Youth affairs clearly said that Hockey is not the national sports of India.
For clarification, one can check government's official website of "National symbols of India" and there too you will not find the section of national sports.
The RTI was filed by a then 10 years old girl "Aishwarya Parashar"
