oldest landmass of india is the plateau region (deccan plateau)
its 2 broad divisions are :- 1) central highlands and 2) Deccan plateau
central highlands:-
they stretch from North West with the aravalis further merging woth sandy and rocky desert of Rajasthan
they are wider in the west but narrower in the east
the eastward extension of this plateau is called Bundelkhand and baghelkhand . the chota Nagpur plateau is the eastern most part of this plateau drained by river damodar
DECCAN PLATEAU
the deccan plateau is a triangular landmass that lies to the south of river Narmada
it is higher in the West and slopes gently eastwards
three prominent hill ranges from west to east are the garo, khasi, and jaintia hills

→ The eastward extension is known as Baghdkhand and Bundekhand.

→ The eastward extension consists of Chotanagpur Plateau and also some part of Malwa Plateau.
