SPLEEN : Spleen is the organ that receives only oxygenated blood.
● The lungs and gills receive both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. The cells of these organs receive oxygenated blood for respiration to get energy while they receive deoxygenated blood to purify it or oxygenate it.
● Similarly liver cells receive oxygenated blood for respiration to get energy while it receives deoxygenated blood it remove toxic wastes from it.
● However, spleen does not play role in purification of deoxygenated blood so it receives only oxygenated blood.
