Uranic rays are also known as Becquerel rays.

Henri Becquerel proved that radiation is an intrinsic characteristic of uranium. He established that uranium salts whether phosphorescent or not possess this property. He referred to the rays emitted by uranium as 'uranic rays'. He demonstrated that they could electrify the air.

Uranic rays are also called "Becquerel rays".
Becquerel was a French scientist, the father of modern and nuclear physics. Becquerel was most notable for his discovery of radioactivity.
In 1896, he demonstrated that uranium salts are radioactive and emit rays. For a time the rays were called Becquerel rays. His observations led Pierre and Marie Curie to the discovery of radium. Becquerel also undertook research in light polarization, magnetism and the passage of light through crystals. He was awarded Nobel prize for physics in 1903.
