Telangana is the recently formed landmass in India.

Reasons for the partition of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh:

1. 70% of districts in Telangana are severely backward districts but in the case of Andhra Pradesh, only 35% of districts are backward.

2. Though the state income from Telangana is 45%, in funds utilization only 28% is given to the Telangana.

3. In recent years, none of the projects in Telangana was completed but in the case of other states, the land worth of Rs.20000 crores were sold out.

4. The Telangana state cultivation with the help of canal is less cultivated compared to the land cultivation on Guntur district.

5. Krishna and Guntur district uses the majority of water from Nagarjuna Sagar dam which is built on Nalgonda district of Telangana.
