Anaphase is the shortest phase of mitosis.

hardyk09: whyy
priyambaksi: it only lasting a couple of minutes. The spindle fibres contract. This causes the centromere to split. One chromatid from each of the double stranded chromosome is pulled to opposite poles of the cell. Now the cell has 8 chromosomes.
hardyk09: where did u check ?
priyambaksi: i know. But you should ask your teacher since between those 4 stages anaphase takes the shortest time to somplete.
hardyk09: ok, but now its too late
hardyk09: oards started already
hardyk09: *boards
priyambaksi: why?
priyambaksi: ohhh....best of luck for your exam
hardyk09: thnx
