The Statue of Liberty was a joint effort between France and the United States, which was intended to perseve a permanent friendship between people of both countries. French sculptor Frederick-Auguste Bartholny made himself out of the hammer copper sheets, while the Alexandra-Gustav Eiffel, behind the famous Eiffel Tower, designed the statue structure of the statue. The Statue of Liberty was then given in the United States and was built on an American-made Padstall on a small island in Upper York Bay, now known as Liberty Island, and in 1886 President Grover Dedicated by Cleveland. Origin of the Statue of Liberty
