• Coimbatore is called 'Manchester of South India' because it produced most of the cotton.
• Cotton has become a global commodity that is traded, sold, and harvested everywhere.They grow up,sell cotton in its raw form. It  is the largest industries in these countries. The United States is the large provider of cotton.
• Maharashtra, Gujrat, and Tamilnadu have the highest number of cotton textiles.
