CH3COOH is called acetic acid .
It is also called ethanoic acid .
Nomenclature :-
It is called ethanoic acid because it contains two carbon atoms and it is an acid so " oic acid " is written at the end .
In naming system ethene is named as acetylene , so CH3COOH got the name acetic acid .
Acetic acid is colourless.
and yeah in vinegar it is found (4% , i think )
