Which is the deepest valley in the world ?

. Some people use “canyon” and “valley” interchangeably. Geologists usually distinguish a “canyon” from a “valley” based on the relative steepness of the slopes - a canyon being steeper along its periphery than a valley. Since I do not know in what sense you used the term “valley”, I’ll give you both answers. Note, I am not counting undersea valleys and canyons (such as the Marianas Trench).
ON LAND, the “deepest canyon” is the Cotahuasi Canyon in Peru while the “deepest valley” is the Colca Valley in Peru.
If you used the terms “valley” and “canyon” fungibly, then the deeper of the two is the Cotahuasi Canyon.
