The direct meaning of Kabaddi is holding the breath. There are several names in use they are as follows; in the south part of India, it is commonly referred to as chedugudu. In the eastern side, ha-du-du, etc. In other countries like Bangladesh, it can be called as hadudu, Do-Do in Nepal, Guddo in Srilanka, etc.
