but if we take conductors then the charges are being carried by simultaneous collisions between metal particles especially free electrons in them which result in terms drift velocity,, relaxation time etc.

and u must be messing up with direction of positive charge.....

ahh tht's nothing just take it like negative charges travel from their high conc. to low thus creating a positive potential at their sites in a try to neutralise a vacancy ahead
