Homeostasis is maintained by negative feedback loops within the organism. In contrast, positive feedback loops push the organism further out of homeostasis, but may be necessary for life to occur. Homeostasis is controlled by the nervous and endocrine systems in mammals.

Answer:

Negative feed back mechanism normally operates in homeostasis.

Explanation:

Homeostasis deals with maintaining balance of different biochemical product and metabolic intermediate of our body.

Negative feedback mechanism prevent the formation of excess biochemical product or metabolic intermediates when the amount  of the later exceeds their normal level.

Negative feed back  mechanism exhibit its action by blocking the activity of various enzymes and hormones according to our body"s need thus maintaining the homeostasis of our body.
