The permanent land settlement policy was best for the British.

Explanation: It was proposed by Cornwallis and according to him as long as the zamindaris and landlords pay a fixed amount of tax to the land will be theirs

. This caused attraction to landlords by seeing the land and the Britishers got a fixed amount of pay.

If they could not pay the land will be theirs.

So either way it is beneficial to Britishers.

Permanent land settlement policy was more beneficial to the British.

Explanation:

  • In this policy, the rajas and taluqdars were considered as zamindars.
  • They were the ones who were responsible for the collection of revenue from the peasants and then further pay it to the British company.
  • The revenue demand of this settlement policy got fixed later. It was brought into action by Lord Cornwallis in the year 1793.
