The Anarchical and Revolutionary Crimes Act of 1919 (The Rowlatt Act or Black Act or Black Bill) - passed on March 18, 1919 by the Imperial Legislative Council in Delhi which permitted the government to imprison any person suspected of terrorism for a maximum period of two years without trial.
