The outer core is responsible for Earth's magnetic field. As Earth spins on its axis, the iron inside the liquid outer core moves around. The movement causes powerful electric currents to develop in the liquid iron itself.

Heya friend!☺

> Here's your answer :

  • The outer core of Earth is responsible for its magnetism.
  • Reason : As the Earth rotates, the iron in this core layer also moves around. This movement in liquid iron causes electric currents to develop in it which exhibits magnetism.
