when we divide 1000 by 53 we get quotient 18 and remainder is 46 it means 7less than the number so the number is completely divisible. after adding 7 to 1000 it becomes 1007 and is completely divisible by 53 we get quotient 19 .so the least number . which Added in 1000 such number is divisible by 53 is 7.
