Which lightening do we see actually? The one coming from or the one returning?

we are not able to see light,

we can not see the light , we can only see the sources of lights.

if a beam of light pass near to u ,can u see it??
no, we only see the substance which is reflect the light. here also we not able to see light.

so we can not see the light , we can only see the source of light, and substances or objects which can be reflect the light.

so we see when light is returning or reflected by objects.
