Unicellular organisms (organisms with a single cell), that is bacteria are present in the kingdom Monera.
They are also referred to as prokaryotes as they don’t have a nuclear membrane as a result of which all the nuclear materials are scattered in the cytoplasm.
Some classifications of kingdom Monera are : Eubacteriophyta, Cyanophyta, Proteobacteria, Spirochaetes etc.
