I would prefer the Electromagnet for industrial purposes as it does not unnecessarily attract magnetic substances and can be shut down when not needed , preventing accidents ...... we can also see this being used in daily life in junk yards to separate metal scrap permanent magnets are not used as electro magnets are more convenient.
