There is usually a greater energy in the water that makes it to move faster. This energy is the one that ignites the force in water to move faster enabling it to carry out erosion that is carrying the soil from its usual place to another place that it is not needed. During carrying away of the water the particles that are found in the soil are usually separated making it easier to carry the soil easier despite it being heavy when mixed with water.
