The map with the scale of 1 cm=10 km will be bigger than the map of 1 cm=100 km. Let us consider a country of rectangular shape. Its length is 2000 km and breadth is 1000 km. We will make a map of it.
1st Condition:
Let us take the measurement to be 1 cm=10 km. Now, according to the measurement, the length on the map of the country will be 200 cm (2000/10) and the breadth will be 100 cm (1000/10).
2nd Condition:
Let us take the measurement to be 1 cm=100 km now. So, according to the measurement, the length on the map of the country will be 20 cm (2000/100) and the breadth will be 10 cm (1000/100).
So, in the first condition, the map will be of 200 cm of length and 100 cm of breadth.
And, in the second condition, the map will be of 20 cm of length and 10 cm of breadth.
Hope you can see the difference yourself now.
