Hi,

The materials which has low resistivity are Aluminium, Tungsten, Iron, Copper etc.  In this silver and Gold has a very low resistivity.

The resistivity is inverse of conductivity. Conductivity in materials is showing the material's ability to flow electric current. Same way resistivity defines as the how material oppose the flow of current.

There are so many factors affecting resistivity such as temperature, resistivity increase with increase in temperature except semiconductors. Corrosivity affects too, with lower resistivity the environment will be more corrosive.

Aluminum has the lowest resistivity among the following metals.

Explanation:

Which material among the following has low resistivity ?

(a) Aluminium (b) Tungsten (c) Iron (d) Copper

Answer:

  • Aluminum has the lowest resistivity among the following metals.
  • The resistivity of metal means its ability to oppose the flow of current.
  • The resistivity of a material depends on the temperature, cross-sectional area of the material an length of the material.
  • Resistivity and temperature have a direct relationship with each other. As the temperature increases resistivity also increases and vice versa.
