it's actually an alloy of copper buckle and zinc.these nickle silver fret aren't as hard wearing as steel so some guitar manufacturer use stainless steel to give the frets more longevity.the inlays of the frets can be made up of variety of materials

Brass or bronze it used to make wires of guiter . it is made up of 80%copper and 20%zinc. this gives the strings a bright and cutting voice, though when used on guiters that already have a prominent high-end response it can make an instument sound thin and tinny.
