Heat absorbed or gained ΔQ = H = Cp * ΔT or Cv * ΔT

When objects of different materials are exposed to the same temperature difference, the heat gained by the material with the highest specific heat is the highest.

examples of such materials are :  Hydrogen. Next is water.  Next are methane, human skin or tissue etc.

Metals are good conductors and hold very little heat inside them.
