Insert menu has the 'Table of Contents and Index ' option.

  • Select the location for your Table of Contents.
  • TThe Table of Contents dialogue will appear. To do so, go to Insert > Index and Tables in Word 2000. Select Insert > Reference > Index and Tables in Microsoft Word 2002 and 2003.
  • Select the Table of Contents option from the drop-down menu. Click the OK button.
