Explanation:

Except a few less reactive metals (such as Cu, Hg, Ag, Au, Pt etc) all metals react with dilute HCL to produce Salt and H2 gas. Remember when a metal reacts with Acid the reaction goes something like this

Metal + Acid (dil) = Salt of Metal + Hydrogen

Zinc + HCL (dil) = ZnCl2 (Zinc chloride) + H2
