Some of the common structural materials include - Iron: Wrought iron, Cast iron. Alloy: Steel, Stainless steel. Load bearing structural frames mostly consist of structural steel. Most of the commercial and industrial structures are basically constructed using structural steel or reinforced concrete.

The metals used in the structural engineering are the iron or alloy. Further more their types are used in different situations such as Wrought iron, Cast iron, Steel, Stainless steel. as this material is very tough and strong they can support heavy objects and structures
