The method is used for the determination of surface tension are:

• Surface tension is the property of a substance to occupy the minimum surface area. Due to this property objects float on the surface of the water.
• Capillary Rise Method- In this method angle of contact between the surface and water is measured. It is based on the property of cohesion and adhesion due to which water rises.
• Stalagmometer method-in this method weight of liquid drop is measured and surface tension is determined.
• Wilhelmy plate or ring method- this method is used to measure surface tension produced between the two liquids.
