CRYSTALLISATION is the process to purify solids.

We use different methods to separate mixtures, but we don't get pure substances. For example - sea water. We want salt from it.

Salt can be separated by the process of evaporation. But what about the mixed impurities. Those impurities can't be removed by evaporation.

Crystallisation is used in these types of situations.

Method :-

• take some salt and dissolve it in water.

• start boiling the solution till it becomes a Saturated solution.

• filter the solution and cover it will a filter paper.

• let it cool and leave the solution undisturbed.

• after 1 or 2 days u will see crystals at the bottom of the solution.

Those crystals are the pure form of salt.

Similarly u can use his process to purify any other solid.
