A secular, sovereign, democratic, socialist model of a government is adopted by the constitution makers of India. They took inspiration from other movements like-

The French Revolution

The Russian Revolution

The Constitution of South Africa

The Bill of Rights in the US

And the Parliamentary form of government in Britain.

Our country was born out of partition. So, the Constitution makers gave equal rights to everyone and made our country secular so that no such things happened like this in the future. We have an elected democratic firm if government, to prevent any such tyranny that had been prominent under the British rule. The idea of Socialism was adopted from Russia to prevent the rule of Capitalists.
