1857 MEMORIAL MUSEUM, RESIDENCY which is housed in British Residency in Lucknow is the monument associated with the great mutiny of 1857.
The 1857 rebels laid the siege of of Residency in June 1857 which lasted till November 1857. The rebels showed great valor and bravery during the siege.
So this owing to the importance of 1857 War of Independence, the 1857 Memorial Museum was set up. It houses the images, portraits, maps, guns swords, shields and cannons related to the 1857 Rebellion.
