Hello buddy!!

Acceleration is caused if and only if there is any external unbalanced force acting

In case of a flat road there is no force acting on the body hence in won't produce any acceleration

In case of wind and water(movement), it can produce acceleration, but the acceleration also depends on the inertia of the body

Hill can cause acceleration by virtue of gravitational force.... and the acceleration produced depends on moment of inertia of the body

a stop light (red signal) doesn't produce any acceleration in reality... It is just a signal for the drivers to stop their vehicles as a traffic rule inorder to avoid accidents

Hope this helps!! ^_^

Answer: Wind, water movement, hill and stop light.

Acceleration is rate of change of velocity. It is a vector quantity. It means it has both magnitude as well as direction. It depends upon velocity. So, whenever there is change in speed or direction of motion, acceleration is caused.

On a flat road, it is not likely for occurrence of acceleration as there would be no turns, no change in direction. So, unless driver changes speed or reverses the vehicle, the car would not accelerate.

In case of wind, water movement, the vehicle is likely to accelerate as most likely there would be change in speed of the vehicle.

Hills have curved roads, so direction changes every now and then causing acceleration of the vehicle.

As the vehicle approaches stop light, it is most likely to halt the vehicle by decreasing the speed and causing the vehicle to decelerate and again on green signal accelerate the vehicle to move ahead.

Therefore, wind, water movement, hill and stop light most likely cause acceleration.
